This 2-part workshop covers the key technical and functional issues you’ll want to understand as you plan your upgrade to R12.
Part 1: OATC StreetSmarts® — Upgrading to E-Business Suite R12: How to, New Features, Functionality and Better Ways to Do Things!
This part of the workshop will take a step-by-step approach to upgrading to Release 12.1.x of Oracle Applications. Topics include project planning, getting to the first working R12 instance, remediating CEMLIs (customizations), functional challenges, and defining, designing, building, and executing testing. Attendees will gain the knowledge of how to perform an upgrade, an understanding of issues and problems, documentation to navigate the upgrade, and confidence to execute an R12 upgrade within their organization. R12 project cost estimating and budgeting will also be discussed.
Part 2: Preparing End-Users for E-Business Suite R12 Financials New Features
After upgrading to E-Business Suite R12, one of the most important indicators of success is no interruption to business on day 1. End-user training on key differences is critical to achieving this goal. This workshop will walk attendees through key areas, including the AP invoice workbench, Payments, Supplier and Customer Forms, Subledger Accounting, and Month-End Close. Tips and tricks in each of these functional areas, as well as the elements that users struggle with, will be shared. Learn the key improvements that will increase processing efficiencies and enable end-users to do their jobs from day one.
Looking to Improve Your Tax Close Cycle? It’s time to take a look at Hyperion Tax Provision (HTP)
Today’s Tax Functions are often challenged with obtaining financial data in a timely manner to prepare the monthly, quarterly or year-end income tax reporting requirements. The complexity in accurately migrating data from the source system to the provision software or Excel® model can add additional challenges and risk to the overall tax close cycle.
